George Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio and Johnny Depp want to be Frank Sinatra

Three of the most famous actors and Hollywood blockbusters are struggling to play the singer and actor Frank Sinatra in ‘biopic’ prepared by Martin Scorsese about his life. George Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio and Johnny Depp aspire to be the image of the artist with a unique voice, as published by The Guardian.
Each has its particular advantage. DiCaprio is the actor’s favorite filmmaker, as Scorsese has chosen to star in his last four films.
Meanwhile, Depp has the backing of the producers of Universal, who were impressed by the performance of the actor in the film Public Enemies, in which he plays the famous bank robber John Dillinger.
But Clooney is favorite to Sinatra’s daughter, Tina, for his gallant appearance. The descendant of the artist wants the film to focus on the character of his father and put aside his scandals with alcohol and drugs, something that neither Scorsese nor Universal agree.
The film’s release is scheduled for early 2011.
