Italian Fabio Capello, England coach, believes that Spain “is not as strong as Brazil and not so well defended,” when asked about the favorites in the World Cup in South Africa.
England, who lost 1-0 in Saturday’s friendly against Brazil in Qatar, was also defeated by Spain (2-0) in another friendly match.
Capello explained it to ‘Press Association Sport’ England’s defeat against Brazil: “It’s the first time we faced a team as strong physically, technically as fast and as good”.
“His style (of Brazil) is very different from Spain,” said Capello. “Spain is really good technically, pass the ball well, but not as strong and do not defend so well. When we played them, were very good but still we had four opportunities to score.”
In this match (against Brazil), however, “I told no more than two, a James Milner and a Wayne Rooney. I do not think Brazil will be easy to beat.”
