One of the heads of BioWare, Greg Zeschuk, has offered some interesting statements about the outlook Destructoid current Japanese RPGs (JRPG).

In his opinion most of these role-playing games created in Japan are lacking in development and darkfall gold, and therefore do not have great depth, something they usually have the Western RPGs.

“The fall of JRPG is largely due to their lack of development and progression. Still offer the same things over and over again. They make the best clothes, fallen earth chips, but it remains the same experience, “says Zeschuk.

Also Charges against the system of dialogue and the bottom of them when giving depth to the player’s decisions. Anyway Demons Souls admits is his favorite and an exception for him.

Zeschuk argues that the definition of role has evolved much more Western than their Japanese counterparts: “We have great debates on whether GTA is an RPG or red war gold, because it has all the elements, not just numbers. And what the players here want is an increase of depth, more interaction with features. Mass Effect 2 is somewhat a continuation of that evolution. “
